Job Purpose
Main customer interface for Engineering/Technical matters to assigned customer accounts. Work in close collaboration with Sales for achieving company's sales and profit targets. To provide support to other customer responsible application engineers when needed. Promote Donaldson’s products and technologies. Develop understanding of Donaldson mobile solutions products, technologies, and work ethics. To be able to lead internal cost reduction, engineering change related projects. Provide best possible technical solution to customer based on their requirements after reviewing with internal design practices, engineering standards and consultation with global engineering support team. Maintain existing business by providing engineering supports such as VA/VE activities. Must be hands on and proactive to lead and manage programs. To be able to provide support to JOE programs outside of Japan by working in collaboration with regional Donaldson team.

・Organization Management: Collaborate with both internal/external of Nippon Donaldson (sister regions such as US, China, S.E.A, India, Europe, and others).
・Customer Promotion: Promote Donaldson products and technologies with engineering expertise. Finds out customers’ issues/problems and provide solutions.
・Program Development and Product Design: Provide solutions to satisfy customer’s needs at the same time satisfy our productivities and profitably. Always try to find out the best solutions.
・Communication and Collaboration; Have smooth communications and collaborations with internal/external customers to execute smooth program developments and launch. Help/support production teams to improve quality, productivity, durability, reliability, profitability, and so on.
・Execute other tasks and/or related duties assigned by manager based on the business needs.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
Education Qualification:
Bachelor or master engineering university degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent Professional Certificate
Technical Competence & Skills:
- Experience in the field of Fluid Mechanics and/or Air/Liquid Filtration Technology, Hydraulics are preferred.
- Over 5 years' experience of working on engineering, design, or development in automotive industry. (Tier-1 supplier preferred)
- Over 3 years experiences of at engineering, laboratory, or operation, be also preferable.
- Working experience PLM, CAD, CAE, CFD tools.
- Understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, APQP guidelines.
Leadership Competence:
- Key Contributor
- Ready to be a team leader in 1-2 years.
- To be able to find the solution by utilizing self-experience, research and experimenting.
- Try to keep oneself updated with industry trends and news.
Relevant Experience:
- Presentation skills, Leading team meetings, Keep track of issues.
- Conversant with Windows, Microsoft office, Virtual meeting tool like Webex/Zoom/Teams etc.
Others (Travel, language, etc.):
English:
- Business level, TOEIC 700 or equivalent
- Fluent in written and spoken communications with N&S America, APAC and EMEA is required.
Japanese: Japanese: Native – Day to day communication, Business e-mail, Presentation, Telephone.
Travel: Both international and domestic are required. Driver’s License.
