Technical Operations

As an Engineer on the Technical Operations Engineering team, you will support the Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) and Owner-Operated Produced Parts (OOPP) certification group. Your role will focus on partnering with PMA/OOPP suppliers to develop new, alternative materials that reduce costs and improve aircraft reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and solve PMA parts design, operation, maintenance, performance, and reliability issues.Define maintenance program requirements, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Evaluate regulatory requirements and the impact of modifications on fleet reliability and performance.Lead design and implementation projects, including technical support and FAA PMA/OOPP approval processes.Provide on-site technical support for line and base operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.Work with suppliers to integrate FAA-approved materials into the company’s technical manuals.Develop solutions for reliability issues related to aircraft systems, components, and maintenance programs.

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace) or related field or equivalent experience.Up to five years of engineering experience, preferably in airline or OEM operations.An understanding of CFRs, airworthiness criteria, and technical documents.Ability to manage complex projects and communicate technical information.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

Experience with reverse engineering and aircraft parts certification (e.g., TSO, PMA, STC).Familiarity with certification technical documents, drawings, and data.

The salary for this role ranges from $75,150 to $110,220, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including space-available travel, parental leave, and 401k.
