Your Impact at SAM Engineer-In-Training serves as a point of contact for construction contractor and client field representative for highway and/or bridge construction. Under direction of an Engineer, provides recommendations to client regarding work progress and requests for payment. May provide oversight and review of SiteManager activities to ensure compliance with contract. Requires successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE). Work requires contact with client, typically a governmental agency and private entities including construction contractors, and management of CEI personnel activities. Review and interpret plans, specifications, construction schedules and other construction documents for clarity, completeness, sequence and constructability Foster continuous coordination between all stakeholders Assist the CEI project manager in organizing and conducting the pre-construction meetings Coordinate with project manager to monitor CEI budget. Take corrective action as required to manage both staffing and schedule Monitor construction activities including work zone traffic control Track construction, including material on hand.
