Position Location: Hauts de France (France)
We need an experienced Field Service Engineer for our EMEA Bulk Elemental Unit in Hauts de France region.
How you will make an impact:As a Field Service Engineer, you will determine and deliver service excellence beyond our customers' expectations. Your contributions will be crucial in maintaining flawless operations and customer happiness.
What you will do:Represent our company in a positive, professional manner, dealing with our customers both externally and internally.Be based in the Hauts de France region, with frequent travel within France, Benelux, Switzerland, and occasionally other EMEA countries.Own and deliver service commitments by completing installations, repairs, data analysis, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and training on X-Ray fluorescence Spectrometers (XRF), optical emission spectrometers (OES), and automation systems.Provide services remotely or on-site within agreed conditions, setting accurate priorities.Build service reports, documentation, and protocols to meet internal and customer needs.Maintain high levels of customer dedication by building positive relationships and promoting an outstanding customer experience.Collaborate with commercial colleagues to deliver profitable customer deals that meet or exceed expectations.Contribute to continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement Business System.EducationDiploma or equivalent education in electrical engineering, chemistry, engineering, or technical training in electronics or the chemical field.ExperienceFive years of work experience in technical services.Field service experience or strong service knowledge.Preferable knowledge in heavy industrial processes such as metallurgy, mining, geology, geochemistry, petroleum, polymers, and glass.Proven fixing skills with a passion for electromechanical, software, and application issues.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral, in English.Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in difficult and stressful situations.Good knowledge of electronics and mechanics.Customer-friendly and professional demeanor.PC literacy including MS Office and Outlook.Ability to travel up to 80% (up to 4 nights per week in hotels).Valid driver's license.Self-organized and effective.At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we have a mission to help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
