Your Role:

We are currently seeking an7 Engineer to work within MilliporeSigma Process Solutions Filtration R&D. This individual will apply solid mechanical engineering principles to conceptualize and design prototypes in a collaborative environment, develop and scale up assembly processes, and transfer products to manufacturing.  The individual is expected to contribute to product and manufacturing process validation of these products for use in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries. 

 

This position will be based at our Bedford, MA campus. Ability to travel to our manufacturing site in Jaffrey NH is needed. The individual will support product development teams to develop and validate filtration products using current and new manufacturing processes, which includes knowledge transfer to the manufacturing organization resulting in a successful commercial launch.  They will work with the planning, executing, and analyzing designed experiments, demonstrate a hands-on approach in a development lab and/or manufacturing environment, and be responsible for meeting project goals and deadlines.

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline1+ years experience with 3D CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointHands-on technical skills in a lab environment with a high level of mechanical aptitudeClear and concise oral and written communications skillsDemonstrated organizational skillsStrong fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering principles and material propertiesExperience designing injection molded parts, manufacturing equipment, and test fixtures Sense of urgency and unwavering resolve to meet project timelinesExperience with DOE and process modeling Knowledge of filtration products, processes and applications
