What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience, preferredBachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredExperience on an Agile team following DevSecOps methodologiesStrong communication skills, both written and spokenWillingness to provide constructive feedback on team processesAbility to collaborate across roles and pitch in when there are gapsExperience working in secure healthcare environments, aware of HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST controls and auditing proceduresDemonstrate and apply technical knowledge of software development frameworksRead and comprehend story cards to develop solutions based on intended outcomesStrong Angular/front end development framework experience (required)Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, SQL databases and RESTful APIs (secondary to Angular)Ability to move their code through environments with quality and operational efficiency in mindExperience with cloud computing platforms like GCP (preferred) or AWSExperience with cloud native technology and processes, including CI/CD pipelines and supporting technologies like Cloud Foundry, Concourse, Docker, Kubernetes.Willingness to learn new things and expand their skillset
