Job Description

  Incumbents perform moderate to complex engineering tasks with limited supervision and lead routine engineering projects.  This role has no direct reports.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

This includes reviewing potential vendors, contacts with vendors, coordinating with the Purchasing department, issuing purchase orders, some price negotiation, and expediting delivery.AccountabilityManages project costs, project scheduling, and communicates pertinent data to appropriate areas for engineering projects which may vary in terms of scope and responsibilities.Completes Project Closeout and Postmortem Analysis for appropriate projects.Results and OutperformanceActively participates on continuous improvement / kaizen teams and leads teams as requested.Secures and maintains knowledge of current industry practices as they may apply to Amcor products and equipment.Assists with installation, checkout, start-up and training as necessary.

Automation solutions can include (industrial robotics, AGVs/AMRs, cobots, right-sized automation, inspection systems, etc.)Develops test plans to burndown risk for automation projects and set requirements for FATs and SATs.Performs testing and validation of small-scale automation systems.Reviews technical drawings, plans, proposals, RFQs, RFQ responses, and specifications for small-scale automation work.
