Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Key Responsibilities:

Technical Operations include the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams, and more.

United’s Maintenance Programming Team currently has an opening for an Engineer

Provide engineering support for United’s scheduled maintenance programs. Must understand, analyze, and seek solutions to improve the design, efficiency, and execution of the maintenance program and aircrafts performance and components. Should be able to logically approach problem-solving, support the evolution of an aircraft maintenance program, and ensure a safe and legal operation. As a United Engineer, you will also evaluate the benefits of the cost impact of a fleet decision to provide a balance of cost and asset utilization. You will work with internal and external customers on technical issues, work scope recommendations, and failure investigations.

Review OEM documentation impacting the scheduled maintenance program, including MRBR, MPD, STC, and ICA, and implement changes as requiredDevelops solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, and overall management of project implementation, which can include acquiring FAA approvalsOrganize and manage the priorities for assigned responsibilities and accomplish the work process to meet all project deliverables on scheduleCoordinate work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, and efficiency

NOTE: This position is based at the CSC - Willis Tower, located in Chicago, IL. and considered as a hybrid work-schedule working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in office. However, that may evolve with the needs of the company.
