Overview This position is responsible for providing engineering support for the reliable operation of the LG&E/KU transmission system. This includes real-time engineering support, outage coordination, operations planning, transmission operations compliance and various other projects & tasks that support transmission operations. The position will be filled at the appropriate level based on the selected candidates education and experience. Responsibilities + Provide real-time engineering support for the reliable operation of the transmission system. + Provide on-call engineering support to transmission operations, as needed. + Perform analysis using power system software such as PSS/E and TARA. + Develop/maintain transmission system models. + Develop/maintain automation to improve efficiency performing studies and other tasks. + Perform analysis using state estimation and contingency analysis tools. + Develop process/procedure documents and internal controls. + Participate in relevant industry working groups. + Develop/maintain metrics to support transmission operations. + Support transmission operations in the development and maintenance of compliance documentation. + Act as a liaison between transmission operations and other work groups to facilitate the flow of real-time information.
