Standard Duties:
The QE will act as the liaison between manufacturing and the customer, ensuring that the overall customer quality and regulatory requirements and expectations are met.
Facilitate all quality-related activities associated with customer product introductions within APQPEnsure PPAP target dates are successfully metProactively work with customers to minimize and/or eliminate issuesCreate and submit PPAP to customersResponsible for ensuring all PPAP requirements are met and documentation is up to date and on fileUnderstand and comply to customer specific requirements as applicableEnsure compliance to special characteristic requirementsCustomer quality liaison and scorecard improvement championLead problem solving and risk assessmentsUse of statistical analysis tools and methods for problem solvingFacilitate resolution of proactive quality initiatives, continuous improvement, preventative actions, mistake-proofing, etc.Facilitate resolutions of reactive quality initiatives; containment, root-cause, corrective actions, customer issues, etc.Facilitate and participate in quality metrics reporting and communicationLead First Pass Yield (FPY) and scrap reduction improvementsCoach and mentor individuals and cross-functional teams in quality systems, tools, and philosophiesApproval of all product and process changes (PDSCR, CISEN, deviations, etc.) to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met, verification that changes are correctly implemented, and product integrity is maintainedMonitor processes (through auditing, metrics, etc.) to ensure product conformanceSupport external audit activities relative to product requirementsResponsible for verification of corrective actionsLead MSA and gauging improvementOther projects and priorities as assigned by the Plant Quality ManagerSafety and Physical Requirements:

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering disciple.5 years’ experience required.Equivalent industry experience of 4+ years is highly desirableKnowledge in manufacturing problem solving (8-D Methodology) and processes requiredDemonstrated working knowledge of core quality tools including: Control Plans, Process Flow, FMEA, MSA, SPCEffective at defining problems, collecting data, analyzing data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusionsEffective presentation skills and professional verbal and written communication skillsHighly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointExperience in Minitab for statistical analysis preferredTrained Auditor (IATF16949 preferred)Strong understanding and experience of working to IATF16949 and related standardsShainin RedX Apprentice or Journeyman is a plus.EEO Statement
