Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
Department Intro:
Join the Advanced Mask Development team in the Technology Development department at Micron. We develop innovative Resolution Enhancement Techniques (RET) and Optical Proximity Corrections (OPC) to enable Micron’s next generation DRAM products.
Position Overview:
As a DRAM RET engineer, you will develop reticle solutions in collaboration with Process Integration and Photolithography teams to advance our memory products. You will also work closely with critical internal partners including our mask shop and OPC recipe and tool development and production OPC teams to meet our deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Build OPC model to validate and to predict wafer patterning for both R&D pilot chip and production parts.
Develop and optimize recipes for OPC and Sub-resolution Assist Feature (SRAF), applying them to full chip scales.
Improve RET strategies, including modeling, OPC, illumination, SRAF, reticle blanks, design rules, and layout.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build robust and manufacturable layouts for process development and yield improvement.
Document Best Known Methods based on wafer learning, detailing thought processes and supporting data.
Qualifications & Skills:
0-3 years of experience in reticle development within the semiconductor industry, with a proven track record of improving printability through design and layout data correction.
Proficiency in photolithography simulation packages (e.g., Sentaurus Litho, ProLith) and EDA software (e.g., Synopsys, Siemens, ASML Brion, Cadence).
Strong understanding of photolithography theory, including optics, diffraction, phase shifting, and resist modeling. Experience with 248 nm, 193 nm, and 193 nm immersion lithography.
Excellent computer skills, including Windows, Linux, UNIX, and programming languages (e.g., Perl, C, C++, TCL, Python).
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for effective collaboration across groups.
Education and Experience:
M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering or relevant sciences (e.g., Physics, Optics) is required.
