Engineer, Adobe Experience Manager (Remote)

Company Description

The AEM engineer provides leadership, direction and implementation on technical projects that affect all A&F consumer brand ecommerce sites. In this role, you will work within a team to implement new features and functionality as well as maintain, support and upgrade existing functionality. In addition, you will utilize prior AEM experience to identify and implement improvements in current technology implementations. 

 

What Will You Be Doing? 

Participate in the implementation of AEM related features. Including design, definition, and development of AEM content type models, workflows, templates, components, and user permissions.Building AEM components and templates as needed while working closely with UX, Design and other developers.Implement rapid updates to fulfil changing business and marketing requirements.Develop functional and technical documentation and designs for assigned projects.Work within a team environment, supporting the team goals, and improving development engineering practices.Develop code consistent with A&F standard coding practices.Ensuring that implementations meet the required scalability and reliability required for A&F eCommerce operations.Ensure the entire stack is crafted and built for scalability, security, performance.Solid problem-solving skills, with a focus on understanding overall business issues and figuring out innovative solutions.Work closely with organizational stakeholders, technology partners and other members of the eCommerce team to ensure timely completion of deliverables.Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects.Measure, review & fine tune the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the software application to meet the performance, scalability & security goals.Troubleshoot issues with business partners and support teams during on-call production support in rotation with other team members.Follow Agile-Scrum software development methodology by participating in the daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming and sprint retrospective meetings.Continuously improve IT platforms based on retail technology trends to support business strategies.Develop and applications that support the eCommerce platform making use of industry best practices.

What Do You Need To Bring? 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT Engineering or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in a related field with in AEM 6.x development.Knowledge of the AEM architecture and technology (OSGi Framework, Servlet engine, lucene indexing, Apache Felix, Sling, etc. are a mustExperience with AEM workflows customization, setup and maintenance as well as User Group Management.Good understanding of AEM's security along with its Access ControlsExperience in Adobe Experience Manager - AEM Core components, Asset Management, Implementation and using main AEM consoles like authoring environment, CRX DE, Package Manager, Users Administration Area, OSGi consoles.Ability to define components, dialogs and corresponding Sling ModelsHands-on experience with Sightly (AEM Templating language) and CoralUI/TouchUI frameworks.Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated test execution and building toolsExperience creating scripts and runbooks for AEM installations Experience with set ups, configurations, and integrations with new AEM installations. knowledge of SPA templating in AEM3+ years of Java/J2EE development.Knowledge of web development, with a good understanding of the CSS and JavaScript ecosystemFamiliarity with CI/CD - git, Jenkins, Maven.Basic SQL query skills.AEM developer certification is a plusExperience with web architecture and IT security best practices.Critical thinker with the ability to develop completely new problem-solving approaches and formulate innovative solutionsProven interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent technical, analytical, and customer service skillsAbility to rapidly learn new software and maintain competency with technologiesFamiliarity with basic Linux or related platform concepts and commandsProven interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fact paced environment Ability to work flexible hours

Therefore, in states and cities that require the hourly or salary compensation or pay range to be included in a job posting, the recruiting pay range for this position is $85,000 - $112,000. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, your years of experience, your work location, comparison to other employees in similar or related roles, or market demands. The range may be modified in the future.
