Energy/Water Data Analyst Lead
Job Description

The Role:

As the world pivots towards cleaner and more efficient energy/water technology, the data & systems analysis lead will play a crucial role. This role is ever expanding as the business energy and water needs evolve. Critical elements for the data & systems lead include analyzing, reporting, and interpreting data related to energy consumption, efficiency programs, and sustainability projects. Ideal candidates should possess strong analytical skills, critical thinking abilities and a deep understanding of data analysis tools and methodologies. You will leverage your analytical & statistical skills to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and help our team achieve its energy & water efficiency goals while supporting the Sustainability team in reporting.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

In this role, you will coach, train, develop and evaluate employees. You will provide assistance in analyzing and solving complex manufacturing problems, and assist in obtaining resources to effectively perform operations in addition to the following:

Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity through regular validation and quality checks.Analyze energy consumption patterns, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for energy savings and efficiency improvements.Develop and maintain reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.Conduct statistical analyses and create predictive models to forecast energy usage and evaluate the impact of energy efficiency programs.Collecting, processing, and analyzing energy data from various sourcesDeveloping and maintaining energy-related databasesDeveloping energy consumption models and forecastsCreating detailed reports and presenting findings to managementSupporting the implementation of energy management initiatives and projectsCollaborating with team members to improve energy data collection and analysis processesSupporting energy procurement activities by providing data insights & bill payEnsuring compliance with energy regulations and standards

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as mathematics, economics, engineering, computer science, and environmental science or 5-7 years of proven work in the field of energy/water.Strong knowledge of statistical methodologies, data analysis software, and data visualization tools.Excellent understanding of energy management principles and energy technology.Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail, accuracy, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex energy data sets.Experience in database management and data cleaning.Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to present data findings in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders.Problem-solving skills to identify and address issues in data quality, analysis, and interpretation.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
