Energy Regulatory Associate Attorney

A leading national energy regulatory practice is seeking an associate with 3–7 years of experience to join its Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) team, with a focus on electric regulatory matters, in Washington, DC.

  Key Responsibilities: Support clients in matters before FERC, particularly related to electric regulation Draft legal memoranda, filings, and pleadings in response to FERC rulemakings, proceedings, and investigations Provide regulatory advice and strategic counsel on compliance, enforcement, tariffs, and policy developments Collaborate with experienced partners on complex energy infrastructure and market design issues Stay current on regulatory trends and industry changes affecting energy clients   Qualifications: 3–7 years of experience in energy regulatory law, with a strong preference for FERC electric matters Superior writing skills, sound judgment, and strong communication abilities Licensed and in good standing in the state where the attorney will be based Demonstrated interest in energy policy, regulatory frameworks, and electric market dynamics   Compensation: Salary range: $250,000 – $370,000, based on relevant experience and location
