Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the business unit responsible for operating Microsoft’s cloud and the Datacenter Construction Delivery (DCD) team is responsible for constructing datacenter capacity. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects underway. We are looking for an individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services.

 

Within the Datacenter Construction Development (DCD) team, we are seeking a Energy Marshal who will oversee and assure  any  vendor support complies with the overall Energy Isolation Program Management on a datacenter construction campus. This role operates under the guidance of the Authorizing Energy Marshall and ensures the effective implementation of the Energy Isolation Program.

 

You will be accountable to ensure all activities related to the energy isolation process is coordinated and executed across the assigned location(s) according to established policies and procedures. You must have a strong desire and capability to learn, grow, and develop new skills while empowering a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of DCD activities. Your understanding of the design and functionality of the DCD in support of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) infrastructure while acting as the technical authority for on-site operations related to a large-scale mission critical MEP system, design, and functionality is critical to success.

 

This role is based in Charlotte, NC.  Relocation support is available, and successful candidates are required to either reside within or relocate to within 50 miles of the designated hub office.

 

This role is eligible for onsite only (100%) [within 50 miles from Charlotte, NC].
