Leidos Engineering LLC is a premier national engineering-based management consulting firm.  We are seeking an experienced and motivated candidate to join our team in Peoria or St. Louis as a Special Project Energy Engineer. The position is ideal for a person with excellent technical skills and energy engineering experience with experience in calculating energy saving estimates, energy auditing, and communicating technical issues within the project team while working closely with contractors, suppliers, architects, and project engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Reviewing technical energy efficiency applications for incentives and rebates for Ameren Illinois electric and natural gas customersReview different types of energy using systems within the industrial and/or commercial markets (HVAC, Lighting, energy management systems, etc)Research technology changes to support improvements to the energy efficiency program and provide solutions for implementation improvementsReview existing energy savings methods for quality control/improvementsUtilize independent judgment to verify technical requirements are met throughout various energy savings initiativesCoordinate & Provide guidance to supporting teams regarding energy efficiency programs

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Business Administration or related, with two plus (2+) years of relevant experiencePrior experience in energy efficiency or similar technologies.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft ExcelMust be able to work cooperatively on a technical team, along with working with non-technical team members.Must have well developed communication skills and be able to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely in both verbal and written format.Strong planning, organization, time management, and team-building skills with demonstrated ability to make unanticipated changes to production deliverables requiredPositive, patient and friendly attitude

Preferred Qualifications

CEM or LEED certification is a plusUnderstanding of utility-offered products or servicesFamiliarity with data analytics, data Quality Assurance Quality Controller, and reportingFocus on being able to see things through customer’s eyes to improve customer experience and satisfactionExperience working with commercial contractorsExperience with Advanced Lighting and Controls, Commercial HVAC, Compressed Air, or Industrial Process technologyFamiliarity with the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) or ASHRAE Efficiency StandardsExperience with COMcheck, eQuest, Trane TRACE™, or Carrier HAPExperience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) softwareExperience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines for a process-oriented position.Excellent English oral and written communication skills.Original Posting Date:2024-06-25

Pay Range:Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
