Endpoint Engineer

As a member of the Endpoint Engineering team, an Endpoint Engineer will have a broad range of skills focused on modern endpoint management, security and scripting. You will have a rich and diverse technical background, is creative and passionate about IT endpoint systems, as well as standardization, optimization, and automation. Furthermore, you will have at least five years of consistent experience architecting, engineering, implementing, and supporting large scale endpoint and device management systems to accommodate end-users, developers, and both internal and external customers.

As a member of the Endpoint Engineering team, you are expected to be aware of industry changes and plan to stay ahead of industry advancements to allow them to help guide the use and implementation of technology standards.

Functional Areas

Participate in the design and maintenance of our current device management systems. This will include: Advanced InTune administration. SCCM administration. Scripting. Lead administrator and maintain BeyondTrust EPM. Device management and automation, including Desktop OS (Windows), VDI (windows365 + AVD), and Mobile Device management. Manage and maintain mobile device management (MDM and MAM). Power Bi dashboard creation and maintenance. Administer Office 365. Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software, system management tools, and desktop hardware. Manage, maintain and develop remote control tools e.g. BeyondTrust Remote Support and TeamViewer Tensor. Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time of any task. Proactively ensure the highest levels of availability for all systems. Monitor and resolve alerting issues for all Endpoint related systems. Monitor and test system performance for potential bottlenecks and collaborate to drive solutions and implement changes. Provide 3rd level support for Service Desk team. Work closely with vendors and other IT personnel to identify and resolve issues with systems and infrastructure.

What You Will Need

Experience in IT Desktop administration/engineering supporting 1000 or more users 5+ years of relevant experience working in a similar role supporting IT Systems Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Platform (Azure, Office 365, Azure AD Premium, AutoPilot) Advanced knowledge of desktop Operating Systems Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune management Group Policy design and configuration Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration Extensive experience in using SCCM / Intune to centrally manage desktops systems for software deployments and patch management. Extensive experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD & Azure AD Premium) Working knowledge of ServiceDesk ticket management systems Advanced PowerShell scripting experience for provisioning and other administration tasks Experience with Windows group policy – scripting, monitoring & reporting Experience providing expert level Tier 3 support while mentoring less experienced technicians Knowledgeable in cyber security threats and prevention strategies Experience in Endpoint Privilege management  Experience building and maintaining asset inventory Creates, updates and maintains documentation and standard operating procedures Strong analytical, leadership, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills. Uses sound judgment when making decisions and dealing with others
