As a Payment Kernel Expert you’ll contribute to the team’s effort to build, maintain, support and drive certification in payment software solutions & payment kernels with a commitment to delivering a quality solution on time and to agreed industry standards.

Your role will also involve

\n\nActing as a subject matter expert in EMV & other payment kernel software \nPayment software, firmware and kernel development, maintenance & documentation \nCoordination and planning\nCommunication and relationship management\nEmbedded product maintenance\nTest plan development\nDevelopment process and continuous improvement\n\n

We are looking for someone who is able to manage complexity and is driving for results with a strong customer focus. High attention to detail, affinity for new technologies & excellent problem-solving skills would be a great asset. You will be part of a high performing team that are passionate about their job and work hard to get projects across the line.

\n

Essential Requirements:

\n\nTertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Development or Engineering\n10+ years of development and/or testing experience – developing code using C \nTechnical skills including high level understanding of software development, software test \nProblem investigation and resolution experience in a software environment \nExperience with Version Control Systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines\nGood communication skills both written and verbal\nNo restrictions to travel \n\n

Desirable:

\n\nExperience supporting payment systems (Banking/finance industry)\nKnowledge of retail systems (particularly in the petroleum industry)\nKnowledge of electronic payment systems and relevant security standards\nExperience in EMV Level 1 and/or Level 2 Kernel development\nExperience in C++, Linux, Python, Java, Bash scripting \nAbility to promote a test driven development approach\nExperience being front line with customers (meetings, support matter discussions) \n\n
