**Emergency Services Coordinator**
Description: Coordinate and assist in managing the client’s Emergency Services programs. Coordinate and facilitate training of the client’s Emergency Response Teams (ERT). Respond to and mitigate site emergencies and provide emergency medical care.
Responsibilities include:
**Emergency Response** • Support emergency response with security shift supervisors as requested • Respond to major site emergencies and emergencies involving a 911 response (fire alarms, medical emergencies, hazardous materials, and security incidents) • Respond to odor and atmospheric alarms investigations as requested by security • Respond to elevator entrapments if requested • Aid in post incident investigations as required • Respond to disaster incident
**Emergency Management** • Assists in development of templates for Emergency Management Plans (EMP) and Emergency Action Plans (EAP) for use across all sites • Aid in development of Incident Action Plans (IAP) • Ensures coordination with the Security Operations Center and receives real-time information on various situations (e.g., earthquakes, terrorist attacks, brushfires, etc.) • Assist with incident intelligence gathering as necessary, particularly at the field level • Assist Client stakeholders with Emergency Management and Emergency Services concerns • Assumes crucial Incident Command Team Roles during emergencies and disasters such as, Incident Commander, Safety Officer, Medical Officer, etc.
**Emergency Response Team & Training •** Provide training/coordination/development of Client’s Emergency Response Teams Examples: o ERT: Evacuation Team (Building Captains & Evacuation Coordinators) o ERT: Light Urban Search & Rescue (Evacuation, Medical, Fire/Haz Mato ERT: Medical (First Aid/CPR/AED/Stop the Bleed) (Bloodborne Pathogens) o ERT: Fire/HazMat (Fire Safety/Extinguisher and Hazardous Materials awareness) o ERT: BEET (Building Entry & Evaluation Team) • Fire-Watch Training (Security Officers) • Receptionist Training related to emergencies (Security Receptionists) • Ongoing training to maintain skills/competencies for all teams • Participate in All-Staff education sessions • Record all applicable training into Client’s Learning Management System (LMS). • Fire Safety and Fire Extinguisher Training (ERT, Facilities, Security, R&D Staff) • Emergency Response Training/Drills for Security • Aid in developing Disaster Exercises/Table-top Drills • Recruitment for exercise volunteers and coordination with external stake holders
**Communications & Radio Infrastructure** • Understand and be proficient with site radio communications infrastructure • Trouble shoot radio equipment as needed • Maintain Client’s Amateur (HAM) radio program and arrange periodic radio club meetings • Train and coordinate Disaster Communications Team • Participate in monthly Countywide Operational Tests (ORT) with County Sheriff’s EOCs • Act as liaison with public agency communications personnel and other HAM radio operators
Equipment Maintenance • Understands and periodically test emergency trailer readiness and satellite communications • Understands backup and emergency computer systems readiness • Coordinate required response, Emergency Services Coordinator vehicle • Maintain emergency response equipment as necessary • Recommends additional and/or replacement disaster supplies or Rally Point equipment
**Preferred Experience/Training:** • EMT (CA) or First Aid certification (American Red Cross or AHA) • CPR/AED certification (American Red Cross or AHA) • Hazardous Materials Technician • Incident Command System (ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-700, ICS-800) • C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team/FEMA) • Amateur Radio (HAM) license • 1 year of direct patient care experience on 9-1-1 ambulance, dispatch, fire department, or hospital emergency department

In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include: • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, media and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations • Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information • Regular use of vehicle required in the performance of duties • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds • Occasional walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling in the performance of site surveys • Frequent travel to client sites for oral presentations, group meetings, and site surveys • Directing, motivating, training, coaching, and disciplining staff in a positive manner • Reading and analyzing reports and financial data, including related computer usage
