The emergency department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with board certified physicians and advanced level practitioners who are well-trained to treat emergency needs. MercyOne Elkader Medical Center is certified as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Iowa Department of Public Health.

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire an EMT Driver PRN.

As an EMT Driver PRN at MercyOne, you will Respond to 911 calls, interfacility, and tiered transfer requests, providing support to patient care within the MercyOne Elkader Ambulance service-area.  Under general supervision of an Emergency Medical Technician, the EMS driver operates the vehicle in a manner which will allow safe and expedient transport when necessary.

Varies as PRN and Calls

General Requirements:

Valid State of Iowa Driver’s License with a clean record.Current BLS or obtain within 1 month after employment.

Education:

Take Emergency Vehicle Operation Course initially and yearly updates.
