We’re hiring an Employee Residence Coordinator to Live. Work. Explore. at the south rim of the Grand Canyon! Job Summary: Cleanliness and orderliness of assigned cabins. The Details: Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round Pay: $15.40 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Grand Canyon South Rim? Responsibilities Greet new employees. Give them a tour of the grounds and facilities and explain house rules to them. Ensure that assigned areas are cleaned on a daily basis throughout the day, including exterior areas and laundry facilities. Issue cleaning supplies as requested. Conduct employee check out of cabins ensuring cleanliness and noting any damage which the employee is responsible for. Report maintenance problems to the housing office and follow up on completion of same. Check for guest passes and ensure that non-employees are not allowed in the cabins. Prepare vacant cabins as quickly as possible for the next resident. Contact Fire & Security and/or National Park Service Rangers as necessary for medical and/or security situations. Assist Fire & Security as much as possible whenever a fire alarm sounds. Order cleaning supplies as necessary, maintaining a sufficient stock on hand. Assist in other housing areas as assigned on a daily basis after cabin priorities are completed. Adhere to all safety, risk management policies, including wearing required personal protective equipment while performing tasks. Ensure that quiet hours are being adhered to by all residents. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Good verbal communication skills with ability to confidently and tactfully interact with employees to enforce policies and procedures. Ability to recognize maintenance and safety related hazards. Ability to follow direction and complete work without close supervision. Willing to work a variety of shift hours. Must have ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Possess or obtain a valid Arizona’s Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with the Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
