Employee Relations Specialist
**Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist** **Job location: Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, or New York (Hybrid)** **Job description:** Capgemini has a need for an enthusiastic and agile Human Resources professional to join the Employee Relations Team aligned to HR Shared Services. This role will serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert in employee relations partnering closely with internal stakeholders and clients, to include Business Leadership, HR Leadership and HR Business Partners, US Ethics Officer, Practice Staffing Partners, US General Counsel Office, Group Ethics and the HR Operations and Programs Teams. The following objectives are in scope for the Employee Relations Tower: • To deliver flexible, robust, timely and strategic case management services through a centralized model. • To drive efficiency and consistency through the services provided across the business lines in the US and Canada. • To ensure that labor law requirements are understood, compliance with Capgemini policy, adhere to internal process, and mitigate risk to the business. **Key responsibilities:** Case Management • Support internal investigation into allegations in scope of Capgemini Group SpeakUp policy to include policy violations, ethics, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims. • Work independently or with cross-functional teams to prioritize and investigate allegations in a fair, thorough, and timely manner. • Execute investigative plans to gather information (e.g., witnesses, electronic data, physical evidence) to assess the validity of the allegations reported by employees and third parties. • Ensure consistent interpretation and application of Capgemini policies and practices, in all investigations and related matters. • Maintain a repository of case relevant material in alignment with the Capgemini Confidentiality and Data Retention Policies and local legislative requirements. • Prepare concise written reports and summaries of findings detailing the factual outcome of the investigation utilizing approved standard work, and makes recommendations on countermeasures, operational improvements, and risk mitigation. • Advise concerned parties of report findings, and tracks completion of agreed upon actions. • Liaise with relevant business and HR stakeholders to convey all HR related concerns resulting from investigations. • Track trends across business lines and proactively recommend strategies to mitigate future risk. • Complete Corporate Card Delinquency Case Audits, and counsel employees on resolution plan. • Liaise with the Business, HR, Capgemini Security Team, to investigate and address concerns raised of potential job abandonment cases. • Manage all employee related matters for death during service cases as single point of contact for family members and the Business. Involuntary Separations • Support the intake and business case development process for company driven reduction in force programs, performance, and non-performance terminations. • Liaise with Business Leadership, HR Business Partners, HR Delivery Partners, Practice Staffing Partners, and the General Counsel Office to confirm the scope and criteria set of the planned involuntary separation activity and secure approvals. • Identify and manage risks associated with separation actions. **Required Skills:** • 3 – 5 years of Employee Relations/Investigations experience gained in either an HR Business Partner role, Employee Relations Advisory role, or equivalent experience practicing employment law. • Experience with employment law principles and practices including, conducting, and advising on investigations, interview techniques, record keeping and reporting, research and data collection and employee relations matters including involuntary separations. • Experience conducting complex investigations and investigative interviews. • Experience preparing written reports and summaries of findings with supporting documentation that is fair, impartial, and represents the facts, and analyzing investigative results to determine whether the facts suggest a violation of policy. • Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information received from investigations. • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage high-volume workload and competing priorities. • Proven ability to think strategically and effectively work across a complex, matrixed organization. • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Management, or equivalent practical experience. **Life at Capgemini** Capgemini supports all aspects of your well-being throughout the changing stages of your life and career.
