Our Global Workplace Solutions division (GWS) is comprised of the best and brightest industry professionals, at the forefront of innovation, and highly invested in the development and unique needs of our diverse employees and global clients. **The Opportunity** The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for providing consultation and coaching to employees and managers based in Pacific (Australia and New Zealand) and overseas, to achieve positive outcomes for the company and our people. The role would also be a key partner with HRBPs, Legal Counsel, Payroll and Ethics & Compliance. In this role, you’ll provide advice and guidance to drive the implementation of an effective ER strategy, to identify business gaps with an emphasis on coaching and in maintaining a positive ER environment within the business. **Key Responsibilities:** + Partner with managers, People and Legal teams, along with internal stakeholders to provide ER coaching on complex performance matters and assess progress, coach managers and employees through corrective action and disciplinary actions. + Handle investigations in compliance and employee related matters, recommend solutions and assist with facilitation of resolution. + Perform preliminary legal, regulatory, and management to assess risk of involuntary separations, working with HR Business Partners, Compliance and Legal. + Works with HRBPs to facilitate sessions and workshops to equip managers to better handle performance, conflicts, etc. + Prepare, complete, and timely documentation and reports of findings for all investigations with follow through on all matters. + Partner with HR Business Partners and business on handling reorganizations (demobilisations, bids or transitions). **Our ideal candidate will have:** + Beyond experience, the right personal style and attitude are critical to success in this role. + Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4-5 years of employee/workplace relations experience. + A strong track record of ER case management in Australia in highly commercial and multinational environments, interfacing with external clients, managers, employees, legal stakeholders and government bodies. Exposure to New Zealand employment landscape is an advantage. + Demonstrated experience in blue and white collar workplaces, with a particular focus on award-based employees operating in shift work environments + A hands on, commercial and practical specialist in ER, who enjoys working closely with clients, account leaders and global People teams. + Highly proactive in nature, results oriented with strong ability to influence and secure constructive outcomes to complex and sensitive matters whilst protecting our people, CBRE and its partners. + High degree of ethics and integrity + Able to effectively and constructively influence others in continuously improving the internal ER capability. **What's in it for you?** + Long service and employee recognition awards + Employee assistance program offering free, confidential counselling + Volunteer days + Collaborative approach to flexible working + City centre head office, with many public transport options. + Exposure to world-class facilities management services and opportunity to work with some of the industry’s most talented performers.
