As apart of the Employee Housing Management team, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day functions that keep the Dormitories running smoothly. Job Summary: As apart of the Housing Management team you will oversee the daily management of employee dormitories and housing staff. This includes oversight of employee housing and assignments, enforcing all housing policies and procedures, and ensuring that seasonal employees have the best living situation possible while maximizing bed usage and applying fair consistent room assignment practices at all times. This position will also ensure the Housing staff is actively building communities throughout residences. Responsibilities Direct management, leadership, and development of the Housing Coordinator, Residence Coordinators (RC), and Dorm Custodians (DC). Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all residents through both staff interactions and the active and ongoing planning of dorm/community welcome/informational events at the beginning of the season and biweekly thereafter in each dorm. Objectively and consistently initiate and/or monitor corrective and disciplinary action related to employee housing violations or other dorm-related infractions in line with company expectations for addressing such infractions. Involve Field or Gardiner HR for guidance on any issue related to respect, violence, harassment, or possible termination. Supervise Hourly Staff (RCs and DCs) on a daily basis including: creating weekly schedules to ensure residence and office coverage as needed; offering advice and feedback; conducting daily staff meetings; monitoring the work of each staff person with personal observation at the work site as often as possible; initiating corrective and disciplinary action when necessary to meet standards; offering activities which encourage teamwork among staff. Ensure proper preparation of residence facilities for occupancy, monitor use and upkeep throughout the season, and ensure proper closing procedures are performed. Ensure high standards of residence cleanliness and safety by conducting weekly inspections with written evaluations and follow-up with responsible staff on deficiencies. Work cooperatively with the HR and Operations Managers to resolve sensitive employee issues involving employee housing and/or off-duty behavior. Proactively share necessary concerns and information to aid in same. Work effectively with Security staff and guide all staff to do same. Utilize security reports prepared daily for follow-up on dormitory issues and initiate constructive conversations with Security staff when necessary for complete understanding of concerns. Maintain professional partnerships with Security at all times. Confidentially maintain personnel profiles of employees on location and files as needed; Accurately process pre/post season and termination paperwork; objectively assign appropriate termination codes, and complete all administrative functions in a timely manner. Control and accurately report location payroll and supply budgets, accurately maintain Kronos time records and report financials as directed; Facilitate correction of NPS Evaluation or other Maintenance issues in a timely manner. Participate in and monitor staff communication with Employees, Operations, and HR to ensure open and professional communication. Model and enforce a high degree of confidentiality and ensure that sensitive management of all employee related matters is being maintained throughout department. Manage onsite employee recreational vehicle sites including assignment, enforcement of NPS policies, accurate residence lists, timely maintenance, and contractor assignments. Qualifications Developed management skills relating to leadership, decision making, delegation, time management, problem solving and interpersonal communication. Knowledge of Personnel Policies and Procedures, Park/Company guidelines and resources for employee housing management. Adherence to, and support of, same. Office organization skills. Basic business administration skills. General knowledge of data systems. Physical Requirements include: Must be able to lift items up to 25 pounds and shovel snow Must be able to walk and/or stand a minimum of 30 minutes at a time Must be able to walk up to one mile continuously Must be able to kneel or lay flat on the ground to inspect employee rooms and bathrooms. Must be able to climb stairs.
