Data Analyst
HUB’s Data Analysts provide the critical data analytics and underwriting support to our Employee Benefits Department and customers that make us a leading sales and service organization in the insurance industry. Through a robust network of resources, you will be amongst some of the industry’s top talent to help guide and support our customer’s needs and provide them with innovative solutions.
This role requires an individual who is professional, highly analytical, and who displays drive, determination, and self-motivation. The individual will provide timely, professional, and accurate data analytics services to the Employee Benefits Department and its customers. As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for sourcing, manipulating, and formatting data, using data to formulate projections and drive negotiations, and working in partnership with a team to develop effective cost management solutions as a part of a 3-5 year strategic plan.
Responsibilities
Provide detailed and accurate data analytics services on a growing block of business to Hub’s clientsManage multiple deadlines and workflows within a fast-paced, team environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and internal communicationMaintain proficiency extracting data from primary and secondary sources with an emphasis on driving accuracy and developing process efficienciesProduce client-facing reporting to include financial reporting and claims utilization, independent underwriting and renewal analysis, renewal projections, IBNR estimation, analysis of medical and pharmacy plan cost dynamics and budgetingDevelop comprehensive knowledge of carrier products and networks, cost management solutions and various funding mechanismsProvide data and insight to support carrier negotiations and the overall renewal/marketing processBecome familiar with and develop skill set around data analyticsContribute to enhancement of client services/sales by being well informed and maintaining a familiarity with industry trendsActively engage in and support training and development opportunitiesQualifications
