Emissions Data Analyst

As vehicle emission standards evolve and become increasingly stringent, continuous improvements in after-treatment systems, control strategies, and testing procedures are essential. This role focuses on gathering and analyzing historical emissions data to inform critical decisions that will shape future designs. You will lead projects that define and validate new test procedures and internal requirements, ensuring alignment with regulatory and performance standards. This position places you at the forefront of Powertrain development, playing a pivotal role in helping the company ensure compliance with environmental regulations, reduce its carbon footprint and design/optimize future emission systems. If you're passionate about driving innovation in emissions technology, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of sustainable automotive engineering.

Bacherlor’s degree (Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics) or 2+ years of experience on data science and or machine learning. Proven experience with C++, Python, MATLAB and SQL. 2+ years of with data visualization analytics (Tableau, Qlik Sense, Power BI or others). Cloud computing experience (GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.) are desired. 1-2 years’ experience in Powertrain is desired, but not required. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to communicate complex data findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Lead team effort to develop data tools for efficient analysis of product emissions performance, connecting the life cycle from DVR through 5-YIS IUVP. Identify programs that are near the limits of our targets and may require further deep dive analysis with TS team.  Conversely, identify programs that have significant margin and may be eligible for TVM actions. Assist in the evaluation of appropriate emissions objectives. Research previous Model Year emission results (DVR’s/Certification) and conduct various studies on the data to help find solution to the problem statement at hand. Gather In-Use Emission Test results and conduct statical analysis on the data. Perform detailed analysis to track trends in emissions levels, identifying opportunities for improvements or reductions. May involve generating reports and dashboards summarizing emissions data, trends, and compliance status for internal teams Develop and implement methodologies for calculating and forecasting vehicle emissions based on real-world driving data and performance metrics. Help deliver future emission projects.
