The engineer is responsible for the calibration maturity and development of sub-features resulting in an overall optimal propulsion system. This spans the entirety of the lifecycle of development through conceptual phase, strategy development, calibration execution to subsystem and vehicle level validation including robustness evaluations. The responsibilities will be carried out across all different types of propulsion system concepts and will include varying levels of electrification. The work will coincide with a team of calibration engineers and functions to deliver system level functional objectives mainly related to emissions compliance.   The engineer will plan and coordinate daily activities of propulsion dynos and vehicle related testing which may include collaboration with technicians and laboratory support engineers. In addition, test plans and timelines will be developed and executed with reports generated to communicate status of the program to larger development and management teams.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related degree field Demonstrated 8 or more years of work experience in the area of spark ignition engine emissions, controls and calibration Strong familiarities related to emissions system development including related technologies and subsystems such as combustion, valvetrain, fuel system, boost systems, EGR systems, aftertreatment systems, controls and its algorithm including diagnostics Feature calibration experience with exposure to optimizing emissions, drivability and fuel economy Experience in launching applications meeting US based ACC/ACCII standards and regulations as well as ROW markets including (Enlarged Europe, APAC, LATAM) Data acquisition experience collecting and processing data providing meaningful summaries and next steps Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently Effective communication skills and able to create and present information in a clear and concise manner to colleagues and management Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited University Demonstrated 3+ years of experience in leading the emissions calibration development for applications conforming to US based ACC/ACCII standards and regulations as well as ROW markets (Enlarged Europe, Asian Pacific, South America) DFSS green belt or higher Execution of problem-solving techniques (RedX, Six Sigma, 3L5W, Kaizen, 5S) EOE / Disability / Veteran
