Emergency Response Specialist/Chief I
Airswift is seeking an Emergency Response Specialist/Chief I to work on an initial 10-month assignment with a leader in the oil and gas industry.
Requirements Support the CMER Director with implementation of emergency response programs, processes, procedures, and initiatives to ensure consistent and effective application across the Lower 48 Business Unit. Coordinate with field HSE personnel on updates to emergency response plans and coordinate and maintain/train on business continuity plans. Track annual emergency training requirements for compliance with the L48 Crisis Management and Emergency Response Manual and the Corporate Emergency Management Plan. Assist with conducting training and exercises and facilitate the exercise after action reviews. Ensure lessons learned are documented, effectively communicated, and followed up on as required utilizing the National Preparedness for Response Program core capabilities. Support the Lower 48 Business Unit with audit preparation (internal and external) as needed. Provide support during an actual emergency response or unannounced regulatory exercise that exceeds local capabilities. Maintain and update the Lower 48 CMER website and documentation portal including exercise documentation, response toolkits and other CMER resources. Maintain the Lower 48 IMT rosters in coordination with the field HSE personnel and ensure access to the Incident Action Plan Software.  Ensure all IMT members have completed training as required in the Lower 48 Crisis Management and Emergency Response Manual. Support incident investigations. Maintain communication GETS roster and emergency satellite phone assignments with the support of Corporate CMER.  Provide satellite phone training as needed.  Maintain Lower 48 CMER satellite phones that are available as loaners. Serve as committee member for external spill response organizations as assigned by the CMER Director. Required 5+ years of direct Crisis Management / Emergency Management experience. Intermediate proficiency with Emergency Management and the Incident Command System. Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel domestically up to 30% of the time on a yearly basis. Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work after hours, weekends and holidays as needed. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in emergency management or related discipline Training and experience in incident command systems, response to emergency situations in the oil and gas industry preferred. National Incident Management System (NIMS) ICS 100, 200, 300 & 400 Master Exercise Practitioner credential. Certified Emergency Manager credential. Technician or Operations Level Hazwoper training. 449 Train-the-Trainer credentials. Ability to build relationships with strong collaboration skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to accomplish results under extreme pressure while remaining flexible to rapidly changing conditions and priorities.
