EMEA Equity Research – Bank Sector – Vice President or Executive Director

Collaborate with Sales, Sales Trading, and Trading teams globally to deliver thought leadership and build strong client relationships. 

As an Executive Director within our Equity Research Team, you will be a crucial part to the success of our Banks Research team. Your extensive professional experience and enthusiasm for analyzing companies and thematic trends are highly valued. Your established expertise in the Banks sector is recognized, and we eagerly anticipate the unique insights you will contribute to our team.

Job Responsibilities

Work with colleagues to provide thought leadership to institutional clients in the sector. Maintain and update valuation models and databases. Prepare materials for the regular publication of research reports, including data analysis and presentation. Contribute to writing research reports, including quarterly results alerts, stock reports, and thematic pieces. Communicate with institutional investors, company representatives, and internal clients (Sales, Sales-Traders, and Traders). Stay abreast of company and industry developments.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Enthusiasm for a team-focused environment where each individual’s insight and expertise is valued. Analytical approach to building and maintaining financial models. Advanced proficiency in Excel. Strong numeracy and attention to detail. Proven track record of relationship-building skills. Ability to distil complex issues into specific conclusions. Extensive experience in the Banking Sector

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Strong modelling skills, with the ability to forecast and a preferred understanding of bank regulations Background in finance, engineering, math, or computer science

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence, and approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority.
