EMEA Business Analyst Manager

As the EMEA Business Analyst Manager for Chubb’s e-trading platform Ignite, you will be instrumental in leading the Business Analyst team across the EMEA region. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the Business Enablement function operates at the highest standards of agile methodologies while fostering collaboration with business and IT stakeholders. You will play a key role in aligning new enhancements for Ignite with business priorities and ensuring timely delivery of solutions, including incident management process.

Reporting Structure:
You will have direct oversight of the Business Analyst team and will report to the EMEA Platform Lead, working closely with EMEA Region Product Owners to ensure alignment on business priorities and project execution.


Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
• Lead the Business Analyst team across EMEA, ensuring adherence to agile methodologies and best practices.
• Responsible for the work allocation and subsequent monitoring of the Business Analyst team.
• Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Develop and implement training and growth plans for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.


Small Change Management:
• Ensure that small change for Ignite are aligned with business priorities and delivered in a timely manner.
• Communicate small change requests and incident management processes to all business stakeholders, ensuring understanding and compliance.


Incident Management:
• Collaborate with the incident Business Analyst to prioritize incident resolutions and communicate these priorities to IT.
• Keep business stakeholders informed about the status of their incident tickets, ensuring transparency and accountability.


Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with underwriting and operations stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Align with EMEA region Product Owners within Business Enablement to determine the required BA capacity for strategic priorities.


Ways of Working:
• Participate in SCRUM ceremonies for required enhancements, ensuring active engagement and follow-up on outputs from System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing processes to minimize bugs and incidents.


SOX Controls Oversight:
• Take ownership of the oversight for the team’s execution of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes monitoring and reviewing processes to identify any gaps in control execution and implementing corrective actions as necessary. You will work closely with internal audit teams to facilitate SOX audits and ensure that all documentation and evidence are maintained to support compliance efforts.


Communication & Reporting:
• Exhibit excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, effectively translating complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Report directly to the EMEA Platform Lead and collaborate closely with EMEA Platform Product Owners to align on strategic initiatives.


 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a business analysis role, with a focus on agile methodologies and project management.
• Proven experience in leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience with project management tools is an essential requirement.


Beneficial Skills:
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on delivering actionable insights and business outcomes.
• Ability to cultivate a user-centric approach in business analysis, ensuring that enhancements meet user needs.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus, particularly in relation to underwriting and operational processes.
