Job DescriptionDesign and Testing:
Develop and implement strategies to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and enhance electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in products.Conduct EMC testing to ensure that products meet regulatory standards (such as FCC, CE, or IEC).Design and improve circuits and components to minimize EMI, utilizing shielding, grounding, filtering, and other techniques.Compliance and Certification:
Ensure that products meet national and international EMC regulatory standards and certifications.Prepare documentation and test reports required for compliance certification.Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
Identify sources of EMI and work to mitigate or eliminate them in product designs.Investigate EMC-related failures in systems and develop corrective actions.Collaboration:
Work closely with design and development teams to integrate EMC best practices early in the product lifecycle.Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure components meet EMC standards.Environmental and Safety Considerations:
Consider the impact of EMC on the product's environment and other systems within the same environment, especially in sensitive fields like medical devices, aerospace, automotive, and telecommunications.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records of test results, analysis, and product designs.Prepare technical reports and presentations on EMC issues and solutions.QualificationsBachelors in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experiencePreferred minimum 4 years of Engineering ExperienceExperience with electrical design standards and able to complete controls systems designs using standard CAD design tools and SEE electric experience Preferred.Experience with Rockwell PLC programming standards & programming software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text. Specific experience with Siemens is a plus.Experience with Variable Frequency drives and Motion Control technologies. Specific experience with Avtron and Rockwell, is a plus.Experience with HMI PanelView Knowledge of FactoryTalkView ME Studio would be very helpful.Configuration, programming, and communication. Specific experience with Rockwell is a plus.Experience with controls systems network interfaces and various protocols for communications between devices including computer system databases. Our systems are Data-Highway +, ControlNet, and Ethernet protocols.Experience in Project Team Leadership or Project Management is preferred but not required.Vision System configuration and interface for width measurement applications and defect detection applications is preferred but not required. Specific experience with Cognex, Keyence, Adept, Bytewise, Gocator is a plus.Robotic experience, configuration or knowledge is preferred but not required. Specific experience with Fanuc, Yaskawa is a plus.
