Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Cleans hatchers, hatcher tops and hatcher room so as to maintain a low to zero bacteria and mold level. Empties hatcher racks back in to the hatcher room at completion of clean up. Must be able to use broom, shovel, mop and scrub brushes to remove chick down, and work with chemicals to effectively wash and disinfect hatchers through hand scrubbing and high pressure washer. Must follow poultry welfare guidelines. Operate the Embrex machine as outlined by Embrex and management. This includes but is not limited to: removing contaminated eggs(poppers) prior to injection, running QC plate after each machine, changing bent needles and punches. Responsible of the proper eggs flat placements into farm racks Required to clean and sanitized vaccinating equipment, transfer work area, hallways and equipment such as buckets and slides. Responsible of maintaining a sanitized and suitable work environment for embryos. Handle eggs in a proper manner as instructed by management.  Minimum Education

High school or equivalent

Experience Preferred

Reading and writing skills preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements Exposed to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humidities up to 100%.  Exposed to chemicals, drups and vaccines to be covered in MSDS training and hazardous communications.  Use personal protective equipment as required.  Ability to lift 4 lbs. to a height of 6 feet, to push 75 lbs. a distance of 75 feet and lift 20 - 25 lbs. to a height of 3 feet.  Must be able to work in a wet, damp, dusty (chick down) environment. Bending and twisting required motions of up to 1100 repetitions reaching and lifting a maximum of 40lbs. Requires constant standing and walking.  Be able to push or pull up to racks on wheels weighting approximately 1000 lbs.
