And it’s why our business strategy centers on making journalism so good that it’s worth paying for.** **Job Description** **About the Role** The New York Times is looking for a temporary Email Producer with experience coding HTML/CSS specifically for email and in responsive email design. You understand user experience, be passionate about design, and have a vision for how these can be best applied. You will work with the Email Operations team, and a variety of other teams, to transform design files into deployment ready campaigns. You will also manage internal workflows and ensuring that every asset is approved before being set up for live deployment. This will be a 2-3 month assignment. Hybrid position, based in our New York City headquarters. You will report to the office in-person 3 or more days per week and can choose to work remotely the other days. **Responsibilities:** + Develop HTML emails using HTML, CSS, and media queries in accordance to our internal standards + Able to transform Figma design files into deployment ready email code + Understanding of QA processes and able to use email rendering tools to quickly resolve issues + Handle change requests and providing quick and efficient solutions + Up to date with latest email best practices, including responsive development and cross-client compatibility + Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence (https://www.nytco.com/company/mission-and-values/) and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world. + You will report to the Manager, Email Operations. **Basic Qualifications:** + 4+ years of experience with HTML/CSS, and media queries, + 2+ years of hands-on email development and responsive/mobile design for emails + 2+ years of experience with Figma **Preferred Qualifications:** + 2+ years of experience with RPL and Javascript + 1+ years of experience with Responsys The rate of base pay for this role is between $48.00 and $55.00 per hour. \#LI-Hybrid **The New York Times is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce, one that reflects the varied global community we serve.
