Job Description

 Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Email Operations Manager

 

We seek an Email Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the end-to-end execution of email communications. This role manages the operational workflow and ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in email deployments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and experienced in managing complex email operations within a structured framework.

 

This position is central to coordinating the intake, execution, and delivery of email communications—ensuring all processes run smoothly between marketing, digital operations, and fundraising teams. The Email Operations Manager should possess a strong technical understanding of email marketing systems, templates, and automation to optimize execution, troubleshoot issues, and provide hands-on support for email development when needed.

 

Role Overview

End-to-End Email Management: Oversee and optimize the entire email production process—from content intake and creative asset collection to deployment.Quality & Technical Oversight: Ensure rigorous quality assurance, perform technical pre-send checks, and manage scheduling and segmentation to guarantee smooth email execution.Continuous Improvement: Analyze performance metrics and identify automation opportunities to streamline operations and reduce bottlenecks.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, technical, and data teams to coordinate efforts, maintain compliance, and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Key Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years in email operations, production management, or marketing automation.Platform Proficiency: Solid background with email platforms like Luminate Online, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, or similar.Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with HTML and CSS focused on email development.Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of email compliance standards (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR) with a strong preference for nonprofit or fundraising environment experience.Process Management: Proven ability to manage structured workflows for high-volume email deployments.

Workflow & Process Management: Expertise in creating, standardizing, and optimizing email intake, approval, and execution processes.Quality Assurance: Implementation of QA protocols and version control to minimize errors and ensure accuracy.Technical Execution: Skill in managing email scheduling, segmentation, and resolving technical issues to ensure optimal email performance across various devices and clients.Data Analysis & Automation: Ability to track performance metrics, analyze data, and leverage automation for improved efficiency.Project Management: Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on enforcing structure, meeting deadlines, and enhancing team coordination.

Location: Hybrid; 99% remote with limited on site presence needed at 633 Third Ave, NY, NYSchedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday with Friday Reporting to: Director, Development Digital TechnologyPay Range: $99,800.00-$159,800.00
