A well-established engineering firm is looking for an ELV Engineer to join their Global Design Centre in Cape Town.

As part of their GDC – Built Environment Unit, you will be a key member of the delivery team virtually designing and constructing a wide range of projects. Your accuracy, drive for standardisation and eye for detail will assist our clients’ team to co-create an engineered impact to their clients.

Responsibilities

Provide support to a team of digital designers, engineers, technicians, and modellers Coordinating the design and virtual construction of the relevant building services designs forming part of projects such as data centres, education and sports facilities, hospitals, commercial buildings, and transport facilities Managing and quality checking deliverables (incl. modelling works, data/parameter
management) carried out by global and multinational dispersed & remote teams Co-ordinating with other disciplines Facilitating virtual and mixed reality sessions for co-ordination and consultation purposes, and be interested in the research and implementation of new BIM technology into project work Maintain project records in accordance with internal quality system Challenge the team to remain ahead of the technology curve, regarding technical trends, as well as design execution

Requirements

Diploma or BTech BSc/MSc/ BEng/ in Electrical Engineering Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the ELV /Built Environment A strong background in ELV design including structured cabling, ICT systems, LAN/ WAN /active networking, structured cabling, wireless/radio, CCTV and Electronic Access Control and Alarm Systems, (required) Experience with Audio Visual, GRMS (Guest Room Management System), Meeting Room Management systems, Integrated BMS (Building Management System), IoT (Converged Networks) and Network Topology Design will be beneficial Previous exposure to datacenter, stadiums, education, healthcare, and other commercial related project beneficial

Benefits

Salary: R400K/yr – R700K/yr, negotiable Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience Paid Time Off
