Electronics Technician / Soldering Location: Orlando, FL (32819) Job ID: #69847 Pay Range: $25-32 The candidate must have safety shoes. The Company - Work with one of the Largest American Owned Aerospace & Defense Companies. SUMMARY Job Descriptor: Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. Tasks: Provide technical expertise working with other sustainment engineers in troubleshooting and repair of assets which requires active involvement with data, wiring diagrams, test equipment, software programs and the depot operating procedures. Duties will include: troubleshooting technical problems and issues, determining technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications and taking the proper actions to repair and returning serviceable hardware back to the customer. Candidate must have experience with testing electro-optical components and/or systems as well as working with test equipment for these types of components. Candidate will perform depot level repairs, rework, modifications, refurbishments of specific components of the system. Candidate will operate general purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators) and uses basic AC/DC theory to read, interpret engineering drawings and schematics to conduct fault isolation of faulty components. Candidate will perform limited supply duties (load/unload equipment). Required Experience/Skills: High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional technical training sufficient to perform preventive and demand maintenance tasks and minimum of 1 Year of experience. Ability to lift 35 pounds. Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government property Ability to work with hazardous materials Ability to mix and weigh chemicals Ability to properly safety wire assemblies and connectors Ability to solder and repair cables and harnesses Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs Desired Skills: Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721 Benefits provided: 401K, medical, dental, and vision, sick time as applicable to state law.
