Job Description
Join a team of engineers in the build, fabrication, testing, and delivery of high-reliability electronics boxes and equipment. This position focuses on customized test racks and ground support equipment engineered to exact standards for an aerospace program.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with engineers in the build and fabrication of electronic systems.Test and deliver high-reliability electronics boxes and equipment.Troubleshoot electronic systems and perform basic testing, integration, and cable crimp/harness build and integration.Integrate specific hardware requirements from NASA.Work through the integration and test phase along with the engineering team.Document test results and processes.Use a multimeter and other test equipment as needed.Work through final system delivery with a broad-based skillset.Essential SkillsExperience with High Reliability (High Rel) systems, specifically with space hardware, ideally spaceflight hardware.Experience in build, integration, and troubleshooting of electronic cables, wire harnesses, and other electronic assemblies, focusing on custom cabling and harnesses.Ability to read schematics and use a multimeter.Experience with crimping, splicing, and connector work.Proficiency in using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.Experience in electronics testing, debugging, and circuit board work.Additional Skills & QualificationsAS in Engineering or a technical discipline preferred, though experience can substitute.At least 5+ years of relevant experience.Experience with space systems, ideally NASA or NASA Spaceflight hardware, or ground support equipment.Basic electronics troubleshooting skills and familiarity with benchtop tools like oscilloscopes and voltmeters.Space/NASA certifications for workmanship are a plus but not required.Work Environment
Office environment with a small team of engineers and technicians working on space hardware. The team has a family-like atmosphere and invests in its members. The role supports the delivery of 30 pieces of hardware for the Dragonfly mission, focusing on power test racks for ground support equipment (GSE).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $44.00/hr.
