Summary You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Indian Head Public Works Department, Utilities & Energy Management Branch (UEM) of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the repair and calibration of all automatic, mechanical, electronic, electrical and pneumatic combustion, feedwater and related control systems. You will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling and directing in-house maintenance and repair of all power plant control systems, instrumentation performance monitoring systems, inspections. You will design and test calibration and instrumentation devices, circuits, subsystems and complete systems that have been planned by the Branch. You will direct and/or conduct scientific studies and investigations on various phases of instrumentations for metrology in order to determine practical ways and means of solving the complex problems that are periodically encountered. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Having knowledge of the operations, design, characteristics, and functional use of a variety of types and models of electronic equipment and system; 2) Having the ability to configure, modify, test, troubleshoot and design systems/ subsystems utilizing programmable logic control equipment; and 3) Utilizing electronic theory and engineering mathematics in calculating design and performance specifications of complex test and control equipment.
