Electronics Development Engineer
Join Our Team at Scania!

Become part of a dynamic team dedicated to developing and integrating electronics for Scania’s future powertrains. Our team consists of eight specialists, each focusing on a specific technical field or electrical component. While everyone has individual responsibilities, we are strongly committed to collaboration and creating a world-class product together. If you encounter any knowledge gaps, support is readily available within the team or the company.

Main Responsibilities

As an electronics development engineer, you will primarily focus on developing ECUs, sensors, and other electrical components for both conventional and electrified powertrains. These components are supplied by our sub-suppliers and are based on a well-defined requirement specification managed by you. This role includes:
•    Electronics and Electromechanics: Developing and integrating electrical components.
•    Systems and System-Level Functionality: Ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
To excel in this role, you must be able to organize and perform your tasks independently while also working effectively across different functions.

Key Challenges

•    Technical Expertise: Answering technical questions related to your components.
•    Collaboration: Actively participating in discussions about interfaces and properties.
•    Verification: Measuring and verifying the properties of your components.
•    Coordination: Facilitating technical coordination between purchasing, R&D, production, and aftermarket departments.
•    Supplier Interaction: Managing technical contacts with sub-suppliers through online meetings and occasional face-to-face visits.
•    Planning and Coordination: Overseeing internal deliveries within Scania and to other brands within Traton.

Your Profile

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or embedded systems engineering (or a related field) and have a keen interest in technology and product development. You are organized, responsible, and take pride in delivering high-quality work. You are curious, proactive, and confident in making decisions. Strong cooperation skills, the ability to set and achieve your own milestones, and the capability to work independently are essential. Being pedagogical and having a good sense of humor are also highly valued traits.
Experience in developing electronics, electromechanics, and sensors, as well as working with sub-suppliers in a similar industry, is advantageous but not required.

Application

To ensure a fair process, we use competency-based recruitment. You apply with your CV and by answering a set of selection questions. The process also includes psychometric tests and a background check. Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously.

We look forward to receiving your application!
