The PLM Portfolio Development Executive (PFD) will be responsible for executing the Electronics and Semiconductor go to market strategy for solution areas in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) portfolio. This Portfolio Development Executive will drive Siemens’ end to end Integrated Lifecycle Management Digital thread in the Electronics and Semiconductor industry and product development domains including CAD and CAD data management, Program Planning, APQP, Enterprise BOM, Change Management and Supplier Collaboration.
As part of the America’s Zone Sales organization, a Portfolio Development Executive (PFD) must drive the pipeline creation and sales by targeting accounts that have a product fit.
To achieve success, a Portfolio Development Executive will be responsible for driving pipeline through new and existing accounts using defined execution tactics and collaboration with sales and presales. Additionally, the role requires the Portfolio Development Executive to be a trusted partner with direct and indirect sales teams. This role will be 60% customer facing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to identify business needs, develop value propositions and contribute to the generation of compelling proposals.Ability to lead discovery meetings with customers to qualify opportunities.Drive Top Suspect new account penetration plan Ability to build a strategy and roadmap interacting with Senior Engineering Executives including C-Suite. Execute selling experience across the Integrated Lifecycle Management Digital ThreadProven strategic development at an account and industry level – understanding the product development and manufacturing challenges in the Electronics and Semiconductor industry.Develop and articulate Trends-Implications-Possibilities-Solutions, build compelling presentations to align with customer needs, and deliver an Executive level thru mid-manager level presentation with ability to run thru demo videos.Documented experience of owning and managing discovery phase with clientsLeverage Challenger methodology to understand/identify problem areas and challenge customer on status quo.Clearly articulate “why Siemens?” in non-technical terms (then if required, at a more technical level)Manage and execute tactics using Account based research, social media, Executive outreach etc.Collaborate with Industry Portfolio Director and each Sales Leader to drive key business metrics.Complete understanding of campaign/initiative value proposition and presentation materialsDrive campaign execution with Industry, Marketing and SalesDeliver sales enablement training of collateral as required.Coordinate with Presales to deliver effective, value focused demonstrations.Manage execution plan and report weekly progress.Support closing process if requiredOpportunity Expansion Support:
Support Renewal Support Representatives to successfully engage customers for adopt and expand opportunity discussions. Support and present at Americas Zone industry events Support the development of expansion opportunities at request of Sales Account Orchestrator as part of the Integrated Lifecycle Management Digital Thread vision for the customer. Support strategic opportunity engagement activities within named accounts that are being expanded based on a digital thread journey, contribute manufacturing knowledge to the direct sales team or partner to accelerate opportunity conversion and closePrerequisites and Essential Functions
Minimum Requirements:
Must have 5 to 10 years of sales or business development experience and strong, proven grasp of industry and technology/solutions.Carried an individual quota and were personally responsible for achieving.Ability to articulate end to end Digitalization message to the customer and ability to map in Siemens technology to the customer requirements and vision.Demonstrated capability to be the trusted advisor for the client within new or existing customers at various organizational levels.Engineering Software Sales experience with PLM, Enterprise BOM Management, APQP processes, Program planning, CAD and CAD Data Management and Integrations, Supplier Collaboration, Reporting and Analytics and handoff to Manufacturing.Experience working with Siemens or competitor CAD systems – NX, Creo, CATIA, SolidWorks etc.Experience working with Siemens or competitor PLM systems – Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DX, etc.Experience working with clients using cloud-based technologies and deployment on-premise and in the cloudIndustry Experience in Electronics and Semiconductors Proven written and presentation development skills required, with strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint and TableauAn understanding of organizational management is critical.Experience aligning with mid/upper-level management and technical users.Collaborate and drive results with diverse teams across multiple internal and external organizations.Formal and informal networking across companyApproximately 50% travelUniversity degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering (or relevant work experience)Preferred Qualifications:

The total cash compensation range for this position is $164,200 to $328,400 with 30% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
