Pay Rate: $120K
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer with a focus on electronic design for embedded circuits, flex circuits, PCBs, and displays. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in electronic design and development, working with complex, tight-space configurations such as cockpit panels and plastic housings. Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential for this role, as you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop embedded circuits, flex circuits, PCBs, and display systems for various applications. Create and optimize designs for tight-space environments, including cockpit panels and plastic housings, ensuring functionality and durability. Utilize SolidWorks to produce accurate 3D models, technical drawings, and prototypes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure design integrity and product functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve design issues related to space constraints, thermal management, and material selection. Participate in design reviews, providing technical input and suggestions to improve product design and performance. Work within project timelines, ensuring all designs meet specifications and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic design, with a focus on embedded circuits, flex circuits, PCBs, and display technologies. Proven experience designing for tight-space configurations such as cockpit panels and plastic housings. Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and technical drawing creation. Strong understanding of materials, thermal management, and mechanical constraints in design. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. Preferred Skills: Experience with other CAD software in addition to SolidWorks. Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as injection molding and CNC machining. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations for electronic and mechanical design.
