Job Description
The ideal candidate will have experience in various electrical systems and be knowledgeable about safety protocols and regulations. The candidate will perform electrical assembly and power-up of machines, equipment, and subassemblies using Lean and 5S methodologies and following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.Job Responsibilities & Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assemble electrical sub-assemblies and panels per drawing and/or work instructions without supervision.Measures, cuts, bends, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit, using such tools as band saw, pipe threader, and conduit bender Recognize wire and conduit types and their usage Understand both AC and DC type circuits Maintain clean and organized work area Ability to work in various working conditions and meet the physical demands of the job Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) Perform other duties as assigned Read a scale or tape rule with 1/32 inch increments accurately. Read and understand electrical schematics and ladder diagrams Wire machinery per instruction or engineered drawings Tests continuity to circuit safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, voltmeter, and ammeter Perform final hook-up of electrical connectionsInstalls control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power tools Connects power cables to equipment, such as transformers, switchgear and motors, and installs grounding leads Observe functioning of installed equipment to determine hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacements Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components Demonstrated knowledge of electrical formulas and their applications Troubleshoot and correct problems with equipment and machinery such as Laser machine, Plasma CNC cutter, CNC Mill equipment, PressBrake and cutting equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of PLC units and their programs. (Allen Bradley, Siemens and Mitsubishi Preferred) Effectively use PC or laptop computer Instruct and assist other employees. Act in a leading role on jobs requiring more than one employee.
