Design Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Business.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tCollaborating with various teams to support ABB’s operations, ensuring effective coordination and successful project completion within the defined timelines.•\tUtilizing understanding of customers' needs and ABB’s solutions to determine effective solutions for customers, ensuring successful project outcomes aligned with customer requirements.•\tParticipating in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.•\tSeeking feedback and guidance from manager and team members to improve performance and skills.•\tUse of: 2D and 3D CAD tools, specifically Solidworks, Solidworks Electrical Schematics, and AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications for the role

\tCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in Dual Major/Minor - Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or Automation Engineering in the United States. \tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. \tUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions\tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines\tDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality\tCollaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
