Key Responsibilities:

Interact with primarily an electrical-engineering team to prototype electronic communication systemsDesign electro-mechanical packages for electronic systemsAnalyze thermal requirements of electronic subsystems and design heat-transfer solutions to dissipate heat, in some cases, without air ventilationCreate CAD drawings and interface with internal and external fabricatorsFabricate prototype mechanical models

Qualifications:

Required:

Security Clearance: Secret with Eligibility to obtain TS/SCIBS degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in aerospaceExperience designing electro-mechanical packaging of electrical components in a rapid-prototyping environment, regarding strain, stress, and heat transferBroad engineering background, including electrical, thermal, and materials Experience designing and conducting test methods, apparatuses, and fixturesProficient with SolidWorks, MATLAB, and PythonBackground in UAV/drone design is a plusA passion for learning new skills and technologies, outside of comfort zone, is a must

Desired:

Masters Degree in a related field

Basic Compensation: $$85,000 – $127,000
(Specifically for Colorado Springs)

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
