Electrician II

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Maintains building components such as Electrical Systems, Lights, Motors, Switches, Generators, Elevators and Work Order Management systems. Log equipment performance readings as assigned.

Assists the other trades in maintaining electrical components.

Perform Preventive Maintenance Measures.

Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority and document the “as found” condition, troubleshooting/repair details, list any testing equipment (w/calibration dates), test results data, photos, verbal/written documentation of communication with Requestor and final “as corrected” condition.  Document root causes for all equipment failures. Maintains detailed and accurate records of system repairs, temperature, humidity and air flow as required by authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) and medical center policy.

Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols

Under limited supervision install, repairs, inspects and maintains various electrical components and systems; such as generators, motors, switches, lights, and receptacles. 

Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.

Log daily reading of equipment and systems as assigned.

Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority.

Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly

 

Qualifications/Education/Training:  Associate Degree/Apprenticeship Program* and minimum of 6 years of  years of experience maintaining commercial/industrial electrical systems.  In lieu of an Associate Degree/Apprenticeship Program, 10 years of maintaining commercial/industrial electrical systems. Must be able to demonstrate general knowledge of computer data entry.

*Completed or enrolled and Completed within 1 year 

Licenses and/or Certifications**: Due to insurance regulations, must be at least 21 years of age with a valid SC driver's license.  Need one of the following Certifications:

Certified Electrical Safety Technician (CEST)*** Certified Electrical Safety Worker (CESW)***

 **Maybe completed within 12 months of starting position
