JOB TITLE: Electrician II

JOB SUMMARY: Become an integral part of our maintenance & facilities team supporting the build of Indian motorcycles between our Spirit Lake and Milford facilities. This role will provide site level support for operational readiness of plant systems and equipment via daily operation’s support, project scope for continuous improvement, and capital infrastructure integrations. Posting for an electrician, however person hired needs to have willingness to work within a team where daily demands may vary between many tasks and disciplines.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out specific assignments as directed by the Maintenance Work Order system and supervisor’s instructionsInstall new equipment and assist outside vendors with new equipment installation and repairInstall single and 3-phase electrical circuitsInstall conduit and electrical panelsTroubleshoot plant equipment consisting of burner controls, conveyor controls, HVAC systems, robots, hydraulics and other mechanical and electrical systemsMake required alterations/modifications to equipment and systemsPerform facility maintenance projects as assignedPerform repairs and preventative maintenance on systems, machinery, and equipmentAccurately complete paperwork required for maintenance recordsEnsure all work is completed in accordance with the National Electric Codes and OSHAWork in a safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulationsComplete company-provided training on and off-sitePerform special projects or other duties as assignedMaintain a neat, clean, orderly work areaConducts oneself in accordance with Polaris ValuesParticipate in Lean processAssist other maintenance crafts as needed

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Technical Degree Required (2 year minimum)Understanding of National Electric CodesElectrical repair and troubleshootingWindows-based computer experienceTwo years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to communicate well with othersAbility to work well with little supervisionAbility and willingness to work varied shift timesAbility and willingness to work overtime as required: “on-call” duty may be required over holidays and weekends
