You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

How you will contribute

You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

Electrician Apprentice Job Summary

Our team seeks an Electrician Apprentice to learn on-the-job under the supervision of a licensed electrician. The apprenticeship will teach you how to assess and repair electrical problems on commercial  job sites. As an Electrician Apprentice, you will complete both hands-on projects on job sites and coursework in a classroom setting. To start, your duties will include basic cleaning and maintenance tasks and progress to more skill-based tasks as you gain experience. You need to register your apprenticeship  and  apply for a license at the end of the program.

An electrician apprentice is an entry-level employee who is training to become an electrician. It’s their job to work alongside a more experienced electrician and to assist them with their work. Through this process, the apprentice will develop the skills that they need to eventually become an electrician themselves.

Electrician apprentices assist their supervisors with many different tasks. They may be asked to troubleshoot faulty electrical systems and repair them. They may also need to interpret blueprints and schematics, order replacement parts, and carry out other electrical maintenance duties for a wide variety of clients.

Qualifying for this position usually requires some pre-existing knowledge of the electrical trade. Apprentices need to be able to read technical documents and blueprints. They should also be comfortable with using various hand tools and capable of following the guidance and instruction they receive from the electrician that they work with.
