Job Overview: As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you'll be tasked with the critical role of maintaining the electrical systems that keep our Data Center operational. You will ensure the continuous, reliable power supply necessary for the functioning of high-end servers and computing equipment. Your expertise in electrical maintenance will be pivotal for the uptime and energy efficiency of our Data Center.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform regular inspections, testing, and maintenance on all Data Center electrical infrastructure, including UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, PDUs (Power Distribution Units), generators, switchgear, and electrical distribution equipment.Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and failures promptly to minimize downtime.Conduct load testing on emergency power systems and ensure batteries are maintained and functioning correctly.Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs.Collaborate with facility engineers to coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and minimize impact on Data Center operations.Ensure compliance with national electrical codes, standards, and Data Center best practices for electrical safety and reliability.Respond swiftly to emergency situations or power outages, providing technical support and facilitating rapid recovery.Keep abreast of developments in Data Center electrical maintenance and incorporate new techniques and technologies to enhance system reliability and efficiency.Assist with the installation of new electrical equipment and ensure proper integration with existing systems.Participate in the development of energy management strategies to optimize power usage effectiveness (PUE).

Required Qualifications:

Technical degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within a Data Center or critical facilities environment.Proficient knowledge of AC/DC power principles, electrical circuits, and Data Center power infrastructure.Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements for electrical installations and safety.Experience with diagnostic and testing equipment, such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and infrared scanners.Solid understanding of HVAC systems and their interaction with electrical systems in a Data Center.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Able to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response.Effective communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
