Electrician is required to install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. Read technical diagrams and blueprints. Perform general electrical maintenance.

Qualified, trade tested artisanMinimum N3 technical qualification5-10 years electrical experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG will be an advantage)

Compilation and updating of equipment registers (safety)To ensure that machinery used in the unit is maintained, set correctly and free of safety hazardsInput and print job cards and stores requisitions on the planned maintenance systemProvide technical support to machine operatorsConduct routine maintenance and maintenance inspectionsApplying pro-active preventative maintenance principlesMaximize performance on all equipmentComplete job cards, log books and inspection reportsCompile electrical schedules for the plantExposure to PLC’s. preferably Siemens S7Exposure to AC drives and sequential control systems
