Explore. in Yellowstone! Job Summary: This position is responsible for overseeing the proper operation, testing, maintenance and repair of all electrical systems in the Old Faithful Area. Accountable for proper and accurate documentation of labor & materials for work performed in accordance with established company procedures and CMMS program. Provides assistance and oversight for the cyclic opening/closing of all facilities and the seasonal startup/shut down of all electrical systems. Responsible for the development, performance and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance procedures for electrical equipment and systems. Provides electrical safety, troubleshooting, and repair training for all location maintenance personnel. Coordinates with location maintenance storekeeper and the Maintenance Purchasing Agent to ensure appropriate inventory levels of electrical parts and supplies are established and maintained. Advises Maintenance Management on the need and prioritizing of electrical capital improvement projects within the Old Faithful area. Reviews design and construction drawings to ensure Code compliance, maintainability, and cost effectiveness of proposed electrical installations. Qualifications A valid Journeyman, Master Electrician or Electrical Contractor license is a requirement for this position. Must be able to troubleshoot problems, ask the right questions and have the confidence to make decisions based on the best information available. Must be knowledgeable of, and have experience conforming to OSHA safety requirements. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Must be self-motived and able to reliably work independently. Must have the ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Expertise in the interpretation and practical application of the National Electrical Code (NEC), National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. Must possess knowledge of materials, tools and equipment common to the trade, the use of electrical test equipment and the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and components. Must be at least 21 years old and possess a current, valid, driver’s license with a safe driving record during the past 3 years. Physical Requirements This position may require the use of respiratory protection and requires compliance with applicable regulations. Must be able to walk over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions. Must be capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must possess physical stamina and condition to perform labor of moderate intensity, sometimes in an outside environment at altitude (6,800 feet above sea level).
